We throw away technology all the time. Every one or two years, we’ll dispose of our smartphone, and get a newer model. Perhaps every four or five years we’ll get ourselves a new laptop, or a new television, because technology has moved on and we want the latest thing. The same happens to much larger types of technology, including planes, trains, and automobiles.
