Time to put the 'SEO' back in Local SEO: Local Search Authority Building



At some point in the majestic search engine landscape, users discovered they could find much of what they were looking for right in their own communities by using the good ‘ole world wide web.

Sure, the internet broke down international barriers and connected us globally, but the opportunity to provide searchers with what they were looking for in their own backyard proved to be immensely popular. In fact, recent research suggests that up to 43% of Google searches have local intent, and not surprisingly, 50% or more of mobile search is local. What has Google done to best help it’s users find ‘real’ local results?
