How to care for a post-surgery wound drainage system and gauze dressing



After surgery, blood and other bodily fluids may collect at the surgical site. To avoid a buildup, your surgeon may have inserted a flexible tube to drain fluids into an external bulb that can be emptied.

This video series provides an overview of how to care for your wound drainage system, the area where your drain was inserted and a gauze with tape dressing.
