Water Line Installation for an Ice Maker

In the absence of a water source,

New 3-way angle stops, or an Adapt-A-Tee should be added to the water supply if expansion is required. You can find Adapt-A-Tees at any plumbing supply shop and put them to good use. They can be set up with minimal effort and in a short amount of time. When there is no running water, you can follow these procedures to install a new water line for your ice maker:

To tie the line off, find the angle stop close to or under the sink. Turn off the water supply at the angle stop by closing the faucet.

– The flex line leading from the angle stop must be cut. You may need two pairs of pliers to cut the cord without hurting yourself. One pair of pliers should be used to remove the flex line and secure the angle stop in position.

The Tee Adapter can be connected at this time. The water shutoff valve should be compatible with the adapter, and the two should easily connect. The outlet’s outside diameter must measure 14″.

To achieve this, use the drinking water machine. Without a water dispenser, the ice maker’s first whole batch of ice produced should be discarded.
