Pneumocystis Pneumonia and AIDS
Most Characteristic Unusual infection Is a thing called Pneumocystis pneumonia due to a Protozoa called the pneumocystis carinii, and that produces a sever pneumonia. there is a patient with pheumonia, much more of the right than the left usually is bilateral and the lungs become solid and the cause of that is a Protozoa not a bacteria or a virus, a protozoa like the ambeba, and you can stain it and it stains nicely with the silver, and you can actually see it in the walls of the lungs and it shows up by that method, that can be treated reasonably successfully but that of course is only one of the many infections that these patient gets.
